I keep the crew in a 55 gallon long with the following equipment; Eheim 2213 cannister filter with spray bar, CC-25 PolarBear aquarium chiller (currently busted), Fluval Planted + LED lighting and fine PFS for substrate.

Plant varieties include; Vallinseria (3 types) and Anubias (A. barteri)

Decor is designed to double as hides and is all natural- straight Mopani driftwood, slate and aquarium safe stone.
The Eastern Colony (Fredericton, NB)
Lucius
Male, Dirty Leucistic (B. May? 2016)
M/?, A/?, d/d, AX/?
This big guy was my first acquisition on the East Coast! I wrote a blog post about his homecoming "here", heads up- there's baby photos.

His face seems to be darkening with age so besides the fact that he is Leucistic and definitely not Melanoid I know very little about his background. Those blue eyes are something else though!
Tormund
Male, Wildtype (B. Aug? 2016)
M/?, A/?, D/?, AX/?
Tormund was the second addition to the colony and arrived to us in rough shape.

He had sustained substantial gill, tail and limb damage and had visible fungus. Almond leaves, cold water and lots of water changes had him healed up and he's been great ever since.

Besides his multi pronged gills of course.
Howl
Gender ?, Axanthic Melanoid (B. Feb 19, 2017)
m/m, A/?, D/d, ax/ax
The breeder Howl came from had lots of information for me, and he came in great condition!

Probably the most dynamic colour morph to watch, his shade can vary from blue to purple to gray.

I can't wait to see how he/she grows and develops, if the colour settles or continues to shift!
Serenity
Female, Golden Albino (B. Jul 28 2017)
M/m, a/a, D/d Ax/?
This lovely girl is half sister to Howl. He and Serenity share the same mother (Melanoid Leucistic) but Serenity had a Golden Albino father and Howl had a Melanoid father.

She looks almost like a pudgy little dinosaur- her top ridge on her dorsal fin is spiked. Her gills are absolutely stunning, I can't wait to watch her continue to grow.
Brillar
Female (?) Golden Albino
Brill is my absolute favorite Axolotl colour- the Golden Albino. Currently my smallest and busiest Axie she is catching up fast!

She was bred by and bought from Drew at Axolotl Canada. I am so proud to have her! She was my first online Axolotl purchase so you can find more details on her purchase and homecoming in the blog.
The Western Colony (Edmonton, AB)
Nova
Female Leucistic
Luna
Female Dirty Leucistic,
Nova is the spotless of the two Leucistic twins, and the more active of the two.

When the Leucy twins arrived they both had quite a bit of physical damage from overcrowding but Nova is almost 100% now and thriving. Follow her gill regrowth on the "Biology" page!

If you can't see her it's probably because she's in the axie tree (melon sword).
Luna is the bigger, frecklier twin. Her dorsal is almost gray pink. She is growing faster than her sister and has a gorgeous thick tail with brown freckles all over it!

She is currently regrowing a foot that was completely missing when she arrived here from the breeders which was unfortunate but really neat to document- see her regrowth "here".
Jade
Female GFP Wild Type,
Jade is a full sister to Nammu. While I purchased Nammu in March, I didn't purchase Jade until August later that year. I contacted Nammu's breeder to inquire as to whether she had any upcoming batches and turns out she had 4 females left from Nammu's batch still!

I couldn't help myself. As you can see from her bright green eyes Jade is GFP as well and has a beautiful olive and gold leopard pattern.
Nammu
Female GFP Leucistic
Nammu was my first Axolotl, purchased from a local breeder. She started out in a 10 gallon and my love of the species (and size of my tanks!) has grown with her.
She is at this point my biggest axie. When I left Edmonton she had reached 11" and was beautiful to watch.
