Resources- Books
Here is a list of a few books i've purchased or read on Axolotl. They vary from Beginner level material to books aimed at Scientists and Professional Hobbyists.
Call me a romantic but I always prefer having a tangible hardcopy of books I love, there's something comforting in knowing that if the wifi dies I will still have reference materials.
That being said, I ordered all of these off the internet, Amazon.ca specifically. I will list the Amazon price for used condition and link to them in the hope that it saves you the trouble of looking them up if you wanted to buy. I have stumbled across a few of these for cheaper at aquarium stores but by then I had already paid the price of convenience.
Enjoy!
Axolotls: Care & Breeding in Captivity
by Peter .W. Scott
$66.08 CAD- USED
This book is by far my favorite in my collection. I reference it constantly for genetics, growth and development. It has a great section about natural history, and the best breeding advice I've found in a book to date.

Some sections are slightly outdated, just by virtue of when it was written and what was available on the market at the time. Filtration and Diet are notably affected this way and I would suggest doing research into more current methods of feeding your axies.

The care and time put into this book is evident throughout. It covers all of the information needed in a concise but intriguing manner and with good language. I am very proud to have it in my collection, and anxiously waited weeks for it to arrive to find it even better than I had hoped.

In summary it is comprehensive and highly recommended.
